Paying For Acting School

Once you're accepted into an acting school, you may find that education costs more than you expected. Because acting training is very specific, the price for this coursework is higher. Professionals in the theater, film, and television arts have to be hired to give you a proper education. Often times, this means they are taken away from other paying work in their field. The cost is reflected in your tuition, but it's certainly worth it.

Paying for acting school is not impossible, however. Many colleges offer work study or acting scholarships. Be sure to ask about these upon your acceptance. As with traditional colleges, you are also eligible to apply for student loans. If work study or scholarships are not available to you, speak with your college's financial aid department for assistance.
