Where Actors Audition

If you think the only time you'll need auditioning skills is when you're trying to find work, think again. Going back to school may require you to audition for a spot in the classroom as well. In fact, the better schools of acting should require you to audition.

Think about it: The more meticulous the school is in weeding out potentially unsuitable students, the more prestigious the program. The audition preparation and process may feel a little stressful at first, especially for a first-time actor. But don't let that get you down. Remember that in the long run you education will be far superior to the kind you might get just by paying a fee to take a few classes. Why? Because just like you, the other students earned their place through the quality of their audition.
